Hi I'm Besack

I'm a Mormon. I love sports and music.

About Me

I'm a single guy working as a video game tester in the Pacific Northwest. I not only love video games, but sports, camping, hiking, exploring, traveling, the beach, and spending time with friends and family. I love to laugh. I also started reading more this year. I used to only read church books, but have expanded my interests. I served a mission for the church a few years back, down in Florida. I loved it down there, and have been back a few times since. The people down in Florida are great. I served a Spanish speaking mission, so I mostly taught and interacted with the Hispanic population of Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. To me, it all hinges on that. If it is true, God chose Joseph Smith to be his latter-day prophet to restore the gospel. It means God chose Joseph Smith as the means by which the priesthood would be restored to the Earth. The priesthood is the ultimate symbol of Christ's church on the Earth, and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the priesthood, it's the church for me. I was raised in the church, got baptized when I was eight years old, and served a mission. But that doesn't mean I haven't had to come to know the church is true for myself. I read the Book of Mormon when I was a teenager, and I prayed about it. I know God answered my prayer and I had a feeling that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God written by ancient American prophets of the House of Israel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day to day. Everyday is a latter-day, and we need to take it one day at a time - seizing the day, as they say. I have lived my faith in many ways throughout my life. I served in leadership positions in the youth programs when I was a teenager. When I was 19, I left my family and served a mission for the church in Florida for two years. Recently, I've taught Sunday school lessons. I think the best way each person can live the Mormon faith is by being a good example, and treating others how we ourselves would like to be treated. Christ taught the two laws are to love God, and to love others.
