Hi I'm April

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I am a wife, future mother, and Special Education teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 27 years old and am 6 months pregnant with my first child! My husband and I were married May 25th, 2013 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple for time and all eternity! We are having a little boy. I enjoy spending time with my family, horseback riding, biking, ice skating, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is my Heavenly Fathers church. I was raised in the Gospel and growing up that was all I knew. Unfortunately once I graduated high school I became inactive from the church and was away for seven years. I evaluated my life and realized that I was not truly happy anymore and remembered how good I felt when I would go to church. This gave me the strength to go back to church and I am so glad to say that I have never been happier. I love the Gospel and having a close relationship with God. I know that the Church is true and that Jesus is the Christ. I know that my elder brother Jesus Christ paid for everyone's sins so that we can receive forgiveness when we make mistakes. I know that President Thomas S Monson is a true and living Prophet today. He is able to relay messages from our Heavenly Father pertaining to everyone. I am so thankful for my membership in the Church and the joy it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

It is amazing when you take the time to recognize the blessings in your life and can see the hand of the Lord in your life. I strive daily to be worthy to have the Holy Ghost with me to guide and direct me. I get the opportunity to have a Sister that we call a companion who can go with me to visit some of the ladies in the church. We meet each month to see how one another are doing and to share an uplifting message with them. It is great to have the genuine friendships in the church, we all care for one another!

What is being a Mormon like?

Living the life of a Mormon is just like everyone else. We are ordinary people but I think life is so much more meaningful when you understand your purpose in this life and the truly important things. Our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and we can have joy and peace when we are having our personal scripture study and prayer and living our lives in a way that is pleasing to God. I want to share the happiness and joy that I have in life through friendships and sharing the gospel with anyone who is interested. Show more Show less
