Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in Arizona, I love to golf, I help leaders all over the world do more with their business, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona. Much of what shaped my life was my parents divorce when I was young and my father passing away with AIDS before anyone really knew how to treat it. I struggled to make sense out of life for a while but found true purpose in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a dad with all daughters. My wife and I have been married for almost 2 decades and we look forward to MANY more! Our girls are full of energy and try new things all the time. We're busy with all the normal activities and school stuff that comes with young children.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the opportunity to hear the beliefs that many different people hold. I have pondered these different beliefs and found great wisdom in many of them. I'm a Mormon because I believe what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints claims... I believe those claims to be genuine and true. Namely, I believe that Jesus Christ established a Church when he came to the earth and I believe that Church was lost after all the original Apostles were killed. I also believe that the Lord restored His Church through prophets (as He's always done throughout history) in our day beginning with Joseph Smith. Mostly, I'm a Mormon because nothing seems to make more sense. Everything taught feels so right (most people never experience this because they are hit with so much false information from people who aren't members of our church that they never really stop to find out what WE teach). I have a relationship with my Father in Heaven and I have felt his Spirit guide me to these realizations. I guess I could sum it up simply and say I'm a Mormon because I believe my Savior, Jesus Christ, wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith first and foremost by trying to BE like Jesus Christ. I often fall short of this goal and for that I'm thankful for the Atonement. I do many things to live my faith... I'm a dad, a husband, a friend, a brother, and a son. I regularly teach the youth of our Church. I help the youth learn leadership skills through planning, organizing, and carrying out their own activities. I also teach lessons on Sunday from the scriptures and visit 2-3 families once per month from our congregation in their homes to share uplifting thoughts and help care for their needs in any way I can. As a follower of Christ I try to follow His teaching from the New Testament to love my neighbor. My wife and I gather our family together each Monday night to have a family night. Some weeks this doesn't happen but most weeks it does. We assign our children different roles for the evening. Someone will take the lesson, someone will conduct the activity, someone is in charge of the treat, and someone else is in charge of assigning songs & who will say the prayers. I try to live my faith by providing opportunities for my kids to have their own experience with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a fun and engaging way. I want them to see that living your life His way is the most rewarding way. I truly love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I thank Him regularly for providing me such profound truths.
