Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Mormon. I'm a father of six, love working on my hobby farm, and married to my best friend!

About Me

First, I'm a father and a husband to an amazing family of eight. We find ourselves spending every waking moment ourside of work, school, and church assignments, with each other. We love to camp, work together on our little farm, raise animals, and have fun. We love to swim, hike, ride bikes, play football, and again, just be together. Secondly, I work for a large software company. I manage a region, and find myself traveling occationally in the region where I live. Finally, I personally love to golf, hunt, be outdoors, work on never ending "farm" projects, and most of all be with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because there's nothing that brings me more happiness in my life than abiding by the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is the center of my life. Because He's at the center, my family is a vital component of that relationship. When He is center, my relationship with my wife is good, my relationship with my children is good, and my relationship with those I work with every day is good. His gospel brings me the happiness I so desire and strive to live. I know that He lives, and I know that there is no church on earth that teaches how to make him center of your life than this church. We take nothing from others, but add upon the principles of Christianity that sweep the Earth today. The fullness of my Savior's gospel is found within every principle of this gospel. I have no want because every desire is filled by the life I live as a Mormon. There is no church on Earth that will teach me how to be a better husband, father, citizen, or employee than this church. There is nothing more fulfilling than the service I render as a member of this church to both my family and other member and non-member alike. The joy I receive from the person I am when I live this gospel is indescribable. I know that it is true, and I bare witness that the principles of the gospel from the restoration of the priesthood to the translation of the Book of Mormon to the living Prophet - Thomas S. Monson are ALL true! It's simply put - simple, amazing, and perfect!

How I live my faith

I serve quite actively in my calling. I have responsibility for the entire ward, but I focus most of my time on the needs of the youth 12-18, and the welfare and spiritual needs of the ward members. As my position is voluntary, I seek the help of the Lord and many other ward members to fulfill assignments to help guide the direction of the ward. There's a lot that goes into running a ward, and the public who are not familiar with the church would be amazed to know how it is run. Because every position in the church is volunteer, there is a huge need for person commitment and testimony that it is true for it to work the way the Lord would have it work. I believe this is why living as a Mormon is a way of life than a religion. As the spiritual leader of the ward, I have to live the standards of the gospel to their fullest to ensure that I am prepared for personal guidance from the Lord at any given moment. I believe that is the key to how this church does what it does, and how I can do what I do with the many responsibilities of travel with work, father of many young children, and most importantly husband and leader in my home. Personal commitment and living the standards set forth by our Lord and Savior is how it is all possible. It's the only way, and it's the Lord's way.
