Hi I'm Josh

I'm a pretty regular guy. I like racing cars, I'm a dentist, I play ice hockey, I have an awesome family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dentist, I love racing cars, I play ice hockey, I love backpacking and travelling. I have a great family with 4 bonkers kids who keep my life interesting. My family is what keeps me going. When things around me seem bleak, I know that my family is the one thing that I will never lose and that will always be there for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because it works. Having studied the sciences for a very long time, I can't separate life from experimentation. If you take anything, you can run experiments on it to determine what its nature is. As the Lord said in John chapter 7, "...My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." I have spent a lot of time experimenting on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and have found it to have tremendous value in my daily life, and in my home. If it wasn't of honest value, and if it wasn't backed up by the experimentation of the members, people would not adhere to its teachings. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings true joy into our lives, confirming that the way we are living is correct.

How I live my faith

I have been asked to serve in numerous capacities within the church, mostly in the youth and Boy Scout organizations. I am currently serving as the Cubmaster within the Cub Scouts. I enjoy working with the youth of the church to show them that it's OK to have faith and to stand for something in a time when the influences around them say it's uncool.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Josh
Having been a missionary, I know that when the missionaries come to visit you, they will want nothing more than to share with you the thing that has brought them joy and meaning in their life. They will want to share with you the truths that have transformed them from who they were into who they are. They don't want to make you do something, trick you into something, or brainwash you. They just want to see you experience the joy they have experienced. Go ahead, answer the door or chat with them on the street. You'll find they're nice guys. Show more Show less
