Hi I'm Brittany

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey, my name is Brittany. I am a lover of all things having to do with the arts. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada surrounded by the arts (good and bad) and chose to enhance my love for the arts even more, by going to college in New York City. Through the four years of school, my love for the arts, my family, and my savior increased. I am now married to my high school sweetheart, and living in Arizona, owning our own business. We share an equal love and passion for the arts and are continuing to pursue ways to enhance the lives of our community through the creation and love of the arts.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? The easiest answer is that it is because I was born and raised a Mormon, but it does not give my daily struggle of living my life through my Savior's example, justice. Everyday is a new day of making the decision to take the name of Jesus Christ upon me. When I was younger it was easier to say that I was Mormon because there were less trials and tribulations that tested my faith, but as I was growing up and facing harder and harder situations in my life, my faith was tested every day. Some days, even a lot of days, I definitely struggled choosing for myself whether I truly believed that Jesus is my Savior and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet, and even somedays, it was easier to rely on my families' testimony of the gospel. The day came when I was alone in a big city by myself and I did not have the crutch of my parents to lean on, I had to find out for myself whether the gospel was true. I searched, prayed, and studied to find out the truth, and through my dedication I increasingly grew to know that my Heavenly Father knows me individually and loves me for who I am. He helped me to know that I was not alone amongst the millions of people in New York and that I had a constant companion who knew me better than I knew myself. He encouraged me to trust in him and everything would work out. My life has forever been changed, not to say that it has been perfect without any struggles, but to have the knowledge that I am always loved even during the hard times, has made my life better.

How I live my faith

In our ward, my husband and I have been called as ward missionaries. I am a shy person. I have a very hard time communicating to anyone new, but when it came to sharing the gospel to someone, I thought it was going to be impossible. I dreaded the first time we were called to go out with the missionaries because I felt that I was going to be a hindrance to the sisters and cause the lesson to fail. When we did receive the first call, the twentieth, and so on, I trusted in the Lord to ease my burdens and guide me through the answers and responses I had to share. There are still times I am intimidated when the call comes to join the sisters in sharing the gospel, but I quickly turn to my Heavenly Father for guidance and comfort. I have increasingly noticed how blessed our family has been since we have chosen to serve the Lord and gather his sheep. I am grateful for the opportunity to share his true gospel and see the light that these investigators receive once they begin to accept this new knowledge.
