Hi I'm Jim

I'm a native of Arizona. I have two children and a wonderful wife. I'm a forth generation boiler man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Husband and Father of two wonderful children. I love to watch my kids play sports and perform, and spending time with my family is extremely important to me! It's fun going with my family to the lake to wakeboard even though I can't "catch air" like my children. It's not a pretty site to see me trying the same tricks as my kids. It just goes to show I'm young at heart. Date nights are essential to a happy marriage. I've been with the same wonderful woman for over two decades and she continues to make me smile every day. I look at our marriage like it's one long awesome date that never ends...

Why I am a Mormon

My Great Grandfather was the first to join the church. My Grandparents and Parents were also very active in this faith. I watched my relatives very closely, and I could tell they were always happy, especially when giving service to the Lord and others. Growing up in this faith has always helped to give me direction on what I should be doing in my life. My friends growing up not of this faith would protect me from things that were bad, because I always let them know the things I believed. Many people have asked me how and when I came to know this was the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I always let them know that I learned it over time. That is the way I still continue to know these things. You have to excercise spiritually the same way people excercise physically. If you miss a day of reading, praying, and pondering spiritual things you feel weak, the same way a person feels missing their workout. I have chosen to follow Jesus Christ on my own. I keep on trying everyday in everything I do to nourish what I believe. I know that the authority and saving ordinances to return to live with my Heavenly Father are found in this church. I love to read The Book of Mormon and The Holy Bible. They give me direction everyday in all the decisions I make. I know they are true scripture. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Everyone that I work with and for, by the end of the day, knows that I am Mormon. I feel like a person that has a present in my hands, and I just want to share it with everyone. When you know what makes you happy you want to share that with others so they can be happy like you. One of my favorite things to tell others is to just "try". Sometimes things seem overwelming for all of us, and we just want to quit. We are a people of great faith! We are not individuals that just quit when things get difficult or when we are tired. We have to move forward with a love for God and His Son Jesus Christ. I "try" to live every day just a little better than the day previous.
