Hi I'm Thane.

I've always had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. I love my wife and our three boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since my sophomore year of high school, I've had a strong faith in the teachings of the Mormon church. That doesn't mean I've lived a perfect life, for we all have our struggles and temptations that we must learn to overcome. After high school, I immediately served a 2 year mission to Germany, then returned home for 4 years at BYU where I met my wife, Pam. I graduated in 1992 and we moved to Northern California for 14 years and have lived in AZ since 2006. My whole career I've worked in various jobs in the Financial Services industry, including Financial Planner, Retirement Plan Wholesaler, and others. I'm also an avid stock picker and trade options occasionally. My wife and I have 3 boys who are the joy of our life.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has given me a lot of strength and guidance in my life. Our teachings profess staying on the straight and narrow path, which really means living an honest and true life. We all know that no one is perfect in this life, and that's part of God's plan for us... that we learn from our mistakes, and constantly try to improve our lives. This means working to be Be a better husband, father, spouse, and friend. I've learned from my mistakes, and continue to learn and improve. I know that my life is better and happier by living the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to friends, neighbors and my own children. As a family, we offer a number of prayers throughout the day. We give prayers of thanks before mealtimes, prayers for safety before sending our kids to school, and close each night by reading a few minutes in the Holy Scriptures and offering a family prayer together. This helps us be stronger and more united as a family.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Paying tithing is a matter of faith. All we have comes from God, and all He asks in return is that we give back one tenth to building up his kingdom. I have always been blessed for paying a full tithe. Show more Show less
