Hi I'm Rollie

I was born and raised in Whatcom County, Washington. I still live there with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wife, 5 children, 13 grandchlidren, and 1 great grandchild, (and I'm not even old yet). My greatest joy is to spend time with them which happens quite often as most of them live nearby. I spent about 20 years of my early working career in the engineering department of a local pulp and paper mill, learning and working at process control design. I was laid off along with 1100 other workers when the plant shutdown, but have since found similar work for other smaller companies over the years.

Why I am a Mormon

I became acquainted with the Mormon church along with my parents when I was about 20 years old. Before that I had very little experience with religion but was taught good values by my parents. Initially I was attracted to the clean lifestyle of the church, but over time, I developed a good understanding of the role our Saviour Jesus Christ and developed a testimony of his divine work. Since then, my faith and understandings have increased, I was baptized, met and married a wife within the church and helped raise our children according to it's principles.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had many opportunies to serve others through various callings in the church and positions of responsibility. This has taught me a lot and has brought my family many blessings that may not have occurred without those opportunites. I am currently serving as a teacher to a group of men which has further increased my understandings of the gospel. The fellowship we have one with another as we discuss various principles together, has really uplifted me and helped me to be a better husband, father and productive member of the community.
