Hi I'm Chris Brown

I'm a husband to a lovely wife, expectant father to our first child, I'm pretty awesome, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband to an amazing wife, who is expecting our first child. I have four older brothers who I look up to, and love very much. My mother and father taught me how to love life. There are countless people in my life that have helped shape my character and for whom I am very grateful. I moved to Washington state in 2010, but I'm originally from Northern Utah. I love the outdoors, and adrenaline sports (snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding, etc.). I am very anxious to undertake new roles in my life, especially becoming a father. I have never felt quite ready for what life has had in store for me, but I use the words of the late Joseph B. Wirthlin as a motto; "Come what may, and love it!"

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents took me to church since I can remember, there came I time when I needed to decide for myself if religion was something that was truly important to me. On several occasions, at church, activities, or service opportunities, I have had the spiritual confirmation that there is no better place I could be at that moment. The principles of the gospel have greatly enriched my life as well as those closest to me. Striving to live a more Christ-like life is incredibly rewarding and has brought me lasting joy in my life that I could not find elsewhere.

How I live my faith

I understand faith as an action word. I strive to show my faith by the way I interact with others and the decisions I make on a day to day basis. Church meetings and activities are a great way to strengthen my faith, but it is through everyday living that my faith is tested and solidified. I enjoy serving in my calling in the ward as a Priest Quorum Adviser. The scouting program benefited my life greatly growing up, and now as a leader I love to see the young men excel in the program.
