Hi I'm Jim

I was born in West Virginia and joined the church in 1961. I retired from the Air Force after 32 years of service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to read and play golf and go on cruises. I live on a lake and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and the view of Mt. Rainier. My wife and I have 6 children and 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. We served a mission in Greece and enjoyed the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church after searching many other religions and was impressed that the LDSchurch had apostles and prophets just like the time of Jesus Chrirst and I could not find these people in any other church. I was also impressed that they were so family oriented and served others with love and gratitude. I read the Book of Mormon in one week and was impressed by its teachings and the missionaries could answer all of my questions. I put the book to the test and prayed and asked God if it was true and recieved a burning in my bosom that testified of its truthfulness. After all of these years I still know this book was translated by Joseph Smith and that the Lord's true church is on this earth and is guided by a true prophet that recieved revelations from God just like ancient times. Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer and suffered great pain and agony for my sins.

How I live my faith

I served the community by serving as a board member for Consumer Credit Counciling Service and worked with other religions in helping the poor and needy. I have been a leader in the church in working with the youth and adults and continue to do so.
