Hi I'm Amy Jensen

I'm a registered nurse and a mom of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two. I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost seven years now. I went to college and graduated several years ago, and am a registered nurse. I have worked as a nurse several different places since graduating, but am currently a stay at home mom. I love to travel and have been able to visit quite a few different places. I love being outdoors and also enjoy scuba diving. I enjoy doing many different kinds of crafts, and scrapbooking when I have the time! I love taking pictures to fill all those scrapbooks. I have recently discovered the joy of cooking, and am always looking for a new recipe to try. I mainly just enjoy spending time with my family, trying new things and visiting new places. My kids keep me very busy, but I love that I am able to be at home with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of this church being true, that’s why I choose to be a member. I feel in my heart and soul the love of the Savior and I see proof of that through the many blessings in my life. I love that there is a modern day prophet on the earth today to lead and guide and testify of Christ. Growing up my family was not very active in the church, but they were very supportive of the choices I made to be a member and encouraged me to follow what I believed. I had many good friends who were members and also encouraged me to attend church and participate in activities that would strengthen my faith. Although hard at times, I feel stronger for the extra effort I sometimes had to put in. Now that I have a family of my own, I feel so blessed to know about the gospel and to know that families can be together forever. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers, and have seen this many times in my life. As I exercise my faith and continue to learn more about the gospel, the Holy Spirit testifies to me that this church is true.

How I live my faith

My faith factors in to all parts of my life. Our home and family is centered around the gospel. My faith helps me in raising my children and brings my husband and I closer together. I also live my faith in the community, as well as in my ward. Service is an important part of the gospel, and I try to serve those I can. I have been able to be a teacher for the youth in my ward, as well as a visiting teacher, where I am able to visit and help the women of my ward. I support the leaders of the church, as well as friends, family and other members. By living my faith, my faith is strengthened.
