Hi I'm Steve

Grew up in Lakewood Washington. I'm currently attending school to become a Dental Hygienist! And... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to school to become a Dental Hygienist. In my free time, which almost never exists as a result of school, I love to do home improvements, watch movies with my friends, or get lost in a good video game with my friends in different states.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and have been a "Mormon" all of my life, but that is not what keeps me here. Life is intense! Pleasure, as the world see's it, can be found almost everywhere and takes many forms. I am a member of this church because it helps me focus on what brings lasting peace into my life, and that helps me experience true pleasure.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I attend church and participate however I can to be of service. I have taught young children, I have worked with people my age, I have served a mission where I got to learn a foreign language... Etc. Being a member of this church is all about service and coming closer to our Heavenly Father and our Savior so that we can be like them. By attending my church meetings, reading my scriptures daily (in my mission language :), and serving others, my life is truly blessed and each day is then focused on becoming more like the Savior. What the world tells me is "important" paints a picture that I do not wish to hold in my heart. By being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I am learning what tools, skills, and knowledge are of real importance in this life. The picture I'm painting with those abilities is far more beautiful than anything the world has to offer.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The best way to know that Mormonism is true is to pray to your Heavenly Father with real intent, and ask him if it is true. When you have done that, pay close attention to the feelings you receive. While you wait, I would also suggest reading the Book of Mormon. By reading that book, you will gain more understanding about what the purpose of this life is then you can find in any other books of scripture. The Book of Mormon has forever changed my life.
