Hi I'm Don Dea

I'm a Navy Veteran. I am a nuclear power plant simulator technician. I am a husband and father and I am a Mormon..

About Me

I grew up on the family farm with 11 siblings. I am a military veteran having served several years on a submarine in the nuclear - electronics field. I currently work on a control room simulator at a commercial nuclear powered electrical generating plant. I am a husband, father and grandfather. I enjoy spending time with my wife, my children and grandchildren. I enjoy riding a motorcycle and serving in my local congregation.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. After being taught by good parents in another faith, I investigated this faith and my questions were answered. I felt the promptings of the spirit and have gained a testimony of many gospel principles. When you come to know of certain truths about Jesus Christ and feel the spirit, you cannot deny these things. Once you come to this knowledge, you can then make necessary changes in your life. I am a happier person as I strive to be obedient to what God wants me to do.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to improve my faith by regularly attending and serving in various positions with our local congregation. I have taught and led our young mens organization and served in the Boys Scouts of America. I have the opportunity to visit other families to help, assist and teach them as needed. I have a unique opportunity to visit individuals in a nearby prison, to share messages of hope and encouragement. I have served in leadership positions in several organizations with our local congregation. I have found that as I spend time serving others, I am able to deal with my own challenges in life.
