Hi I'm Carrie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my early 30's. Although it is challenging, I love being able to stay at home with my 4 children. Another baby is on the way. My husband and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. We met at BYU in country dance class. Ü I enjoy playing the piano in primary - the children's group in our church. I also enjoy blogging and scrapbooking. Reading is fun when I have the time and energy. Exercising sure makes me feel good but I don't do it very often. Ü

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life. I have never doubted. How could the early members of the church in this dispensation endured what they had if it is not true? How could something that brings such peace and happiness into my life not be true? I know that my Savior lives and that He loves me. I know the scriptures are true. I am so thankful for the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day. I know daily prayer is essential in maintaining a relationship with our Heavenly Father and Savior. Although I'm not the best at doing so everyday, I enjoy reading my scirptures and the words of the modern day prophets. My husband and I try every day to set a good example for our children and to teach them about the gospel. I want them to develop testimonies of their own but know at this time they rely on ours. I enjoy playing the piano for the children's group in our church and visiting with other women in the ward. Something I want to do better at is writing in my journal; to preserve my spiritual and also day to day experiences.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes, husbands and wives along with their children can be together forever. This is one of the most beautiful prinicipals of the gospel. Jesus Christ gave power to His disciples to seal families together forever when He said, “And it will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19). Husbands and wives need to be sealed together in the temple and then need to keep the covenants they have made there in order for this to happen. Death does not need to be the end of our precious family relationships. Show more Show less
