Hi I'm Camille

I'm a wife and a mom. I'm a cookie maker, laundry sorter, storybook reader, carpool driver, nighttime listener and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a child and teenager, I looked forward to someday having children of my own. Now, my husband and I have five beautiful children that bring a lot of joy to our lives. Most of my day is dedicated to caring for, teaching and loving our children. I studied history and math in college and enjoy helping our children with those subjects. I have always had a great appreciation for music. We like to have fun and inspiring music in our home and love to sing together. I grew up out in the country and learned to treasure the outdoors. I love green, trees, flowers and wide open spaces. I enjoy catching a colorful sunset, visiting Temple grounds with beautiful flower gardens as a family and traveling to see scenic places. We also enjoy swimming as a family and with friends and going to the park. I find joy in cheering on our children in the music, sports, and other activities that they are involved in. I enjoy exercising and eating healthy foods. My faith, my family and friends are my greatest blessings.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a faithful Mormon home. As a child, I respected and believed my parents' teachings. I believed in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and never doubted their existence. As a teenager, I realized that I needed to have my own testimony of the Book of Mormon and the truthfulness of the church. I did not have doubts about the church but, I wanted to feel that my beliefs were my own. I studied the Book of Mormon faithfully and tried my best to live the teachings of the church. After choosing to follow this course and praying for my own answers, I came to realize that I had always known. Peace in my life and joy through trying to live the gospel, were my answers. I also felt the Holy Ghost testify to my soul on many occasions with peaceful, warm, and overwhelming feelings, that my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, knew and loved me, that the Book of Mormon was true and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was His true church on earth. I had a great desire to serve a mission when I was very young. At the age of 21, I fulfilled this dream and while on my mission, my faith in Jesus Christ and my testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, became unwavering. I have no doubt in the reality of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know He lives. I know the Book of Mormon is true. Whenever I read about or teach about Joseph Smith's first vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ, I always have an incredible witness from the Holy Ghost that his experience was real!

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church provides many great opportunities to serve others. I have served in the women's organization, with the youth and most recently, I have been called to serve with the children. Children are wonderful to work with; they are so eager to learn and so full of faith. I truly enjoy sharing my faith and my belief in Christ with children. Currently, I have been called to serve in the Cub Scout program. My husband and I serve together. The church embraces the scouting program because of its ideals and goals to teach and inspire boys and young men to grow to be men of faith and law abiding and loyal citizens.
