Hi I'm Guy Adams

I work as the Chief Information Officer for a local business. I'm a husband/father/grandfather, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Every summer I buy a "summer-pass" at a local executive golf course. Me and two or three friends meet there about 6:00 AM every weekday morning and play nine holes of golf before we go to work. We walk and carry our own clubs, so it's a great way to start the day with a little exercise and some fun golfing with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

It would be easy to say I'm a mormon because I was born into a mormon family, but the reality is that just made it easier for me to find the principles that I know will bring me and my family happiness, now and in the future. I'm a mormon because I truly believe what Aristotle taught about happiness being the ultimate virtue. I believe if people really examine at a deep level why they do what they do, it's really because they are trying to find happiness. I know that living the principles taught by Jesus Christ and partaking of the ordinances performed by his authority, such as baptism and being married to my wife for not only "time", but for all eternity, will bring me more happiness than any other choice I could make -- that's why I'm a mormon!

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has a "lay clergy" which means that there are many opportunities for service. As we serve we learn new things and develop new strengths and abilities. I have had the opportunity of serving in many different roles and capacities within the Church, and I find that each opportunity to serve brings new challenges, but also new understanding and growth, and ultimately I feel I become a better person because of it. Currently, I serve in as a "Ward Mission Leader". In this capacity, I help organize the local efforts of the Church to help our friends, neighbors, and co-workers better understand the principles of happiness I mentioned above.
