Hi I'm Jennifer

I grew up in Colorado and love my job as a middle and high school choir teacher. I am a wife, a mother, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a choir teacher and enjoy working with 6th -12th grade students on a daily basis. I get a lot of satisfaction from teaching them to succeed and them watching them reach their goals.I also love the outdoors, singing, learning new things, and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a very dysfunctional home. I experienced a lot of pain and heartache because of that dysfunction. However, I was also a Mormon and went to church regularly. Because I prayed often about my troubles with my family and asked Heavenly Father some difficult questions about my situation, I was blessed to learn about and experience my Heavenly Father's love and the deep and undying love of my Savior Jesus Christ. I had many spiritual experiences during prayer and scripture study where I learned that God (Heavenly Father) was the literal father of my spirit and He would lead, guide, and love me as I sought his help. I learned that His love for me could make up for and heal the lack of love I felt from my "earthly parents." I also gained a very personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I know that not only did He sacrifice His life for my sins but also for all the pain, suffering, and fear I had experienced in my unhealthy childhood home. I know that Jesus Christ literally felt all the pain, heartache, fear, lonliness and depression I went through as I struggled on my path towards healing. I still feel Him close to me daily as I continue to heal very deep wounds and strive to enjoy my life and all I am richly blessed with now. He is a very real person and my dearest friend who knows all the places in my heart. I am a Mormon because people aren't perfect and we need a Savoir for our own sins and for the effects our sins have on the lives of others.

How I live my faith

I have spent several years working with the youth in my congregation at church. I have taught kids ages from ages 3-16. I have also served by doing the music for the elementary aged kids every Sunday. I also try to live my faith by being a good example and role model to the students I teach at school. I work mostly with girls ages 11-18 and try very hard to live my life in a way that will inspire them to make good choices about themselves and be proud of who they are.
