Hi I'm Briana

I'm a Washington girl and always will be. I'm a mother and wife. I'm a thrifter and a DIYer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always been a Washington girl, and even if I ever move, will consider Washington home. I am a wife of 7 years and have a beautiful 1 year old son. I graduated with Bachelor degrees in Music/Vocal Performance and History from BYU Idaho. I love learning new things and am constantly creating. a singer. I love to create and gardening. I love the outdoors, thrifting, & travel. I enjoyed working but now stay home with my son while watching other children in my home. I was raised as a Mormon and am still proud to be one today.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons why I'm a mormon. The first and foremost is that we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love the fact that families are so central to the teachings of our Church. We believe that if we follow the commandments given to us we can live with our families forever. There is no greater promise that could motivate me. I am a true believer in agency and that even though our Heavenly Father is omnipotent he gave us the power of free will and our choices. I did grow up in the church as a mormon but as a youth really took the time to gain my own testimony of Jesus Christ and that I knew this church was true. I have always found that I have been the happiest when I am trying to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I teach my son (even though he is only one) that he is a son of God and that God and Jesus Christ know and love him. I think this is so important for EVERYONE, it has helped me feel loved in times of struggle knowing that even though I feel alone, Our Savior Jesus Christ knows what we are going through and loves us. I also try and remember this as I come into contact with people on an everyday basis. Everyone deserves to be treated like they are a son or daughter of God. I also serve our youth girls by teaching them lessons on Sundays and having youth night activities with them on Wednesdays. I have been specifically spending most of my time with the youth girls ages 14-16. I feel like I can have a true impact in helping these girls know their true potential as I remember being that age and knowing how difficult it can be.

What is being a Mormon like?

Briana
I really enjoy being a mormon becuase I know that no matter when I go, the church is true everywhere. I can move to a different stateor even visit a different country and know that I can find people who relate to me and share my beliefs in Jesus Christ and is the gospel. When I am trying to do what is right I find that that is when I am happiest and most often that is also when things are going well if my life. However, a lot of it also has to do with my outlook and attitude of trying to follow the Savior. Show more Show less
