Hi I'm Jason

I'm a web software developer enjoying family life in the midwest, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of five terrific children. As a family, we love to travel and experience architecture, music, the arts, and literature. I enjoy cooking and working in the yard. I am currently working as a web developer for a research center at Indiana University; I enjoy the opportunity and challenge of working with big data sets and developing state-of-the-art web applications. Any time not spent with my family or at work is spent in church service. I am currently serving as a bishop of our ward (congregation), which offers me opportunities to serve and help others.

Why I am a Mormon

My family have been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since its earliest days, but my membership and activity in this church has been the result of a personal decision. Since I was a child, I have had experiences that have taught me that there is a God who listens to my prayers and can communicate his love for me. I have found the principles taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to not only be consistent with the scriptures (and my understanding of reality) but helpful to me and my family.

How I live my faith

I love the opportunities the church offers me to be helpful to those in need. So few of the experiences or activities that have brought me satisfaction and happiness in my life would have ever happened if it weren't for the Savior's invitation to help others.
