Hi I'm Craig

I'm a civil engineer, husband, father, Scouter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father. Our family enjoys camping, hiking, boating, bike rides, and working together. We like to garden and have a good sized plot that keeps us busy! We also have a few fruit trees, berries, and rhubarb. We also like to work together to serve others. My wife and I try to include our children as we serve others and participate in community organizations. I am involved in the Boy Scouts of America local council, as well as professional organizations within the Nebraska water/wastewater community. I served a 2-year mission in the Dominican Republic.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and was raised accordingly. My parents helped me to learn and grow, then work to find my own answers as well. Those answers came in response to prayer and scripture reading. As I work to teach my own family, those principles are confirmed and reinforced. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and has prepared the way for my family and I to return and live with Heavenly Father again. I know wthat families allow us to learn, progress and better appreciate the love He has for us. I know that prophets and apostles live and guide us today so that we can better understand our purpose in this life and how to be prepared for the next.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the youth of the Church. I participate in dances, service projects, sporting events, spiritual discussions, and other activities that help the youth, ages 14-18, to learn more about themselves, how important they are to their families, and to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I also work with the Boy Scouts of America because I believe that it helps prepare the youth to be better citizens, church members, and for their future lives as adults. One of my favorite responsibilities is to visit members of the congregation each month to assist them and teach a spiritual message. I have met some great friends and helped many in need. Lending a hand at a move, roofing project, cleaning, or in other ways helps me give back to all those who have helped me along the way.
