Hi I'm Benjamin Tyus

I'm a Mormon. And I love it and would never trade it for anything else.

About Me

As of right now, I am a teenager in High School. I enjoy reading, writing, and amateaur filmmaking. I run Cross Country, but only because I cannot do anything with a ball. In school, I try my best to study hard and hopefully make it into a qaulity college and one day have a job that could supoort my future family. But right now I'm just taking it step by step. I really don't have that much life experience. My teenage job is lifeguarding, and it is really enjoyable since the job allows a person to choose his/her hours. The only reason why I have the job is because I prayed to the Lord to help me find one, and I paid my tithing. One of my favorite things to do independently is come up with ficitional characters and stories of my own. I admit that I am a complete comic book, film, and video game nerd. During my spare time, I read a lot of fictional stories, and watch animated films and old films, especially Alfred Hitchcock. The most appealing years of fictional stories in Film and Comic Books to me are the 1930's up to late 1960's. There was just a lot more creativity and glory back in those days. More humility. More belief in God. The Gospel has blessed my life greatly, and I can't imagine what I would do without Jesus Christ in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am very blessed to be born into the Mormon Church. My father is a convert, and my mother was raised LDS. Since I have grown up in the Church, I do not know what life outisde of it is like. Although, I would never cease to be LDS for a day. The more I follow Christ and his teachings, the more I am blessed. In order to make the best of a day, I must pray and read my Scriptures. Otherwise I am a mere mortal without the Lord at my side. Without the Lord, I am only Dust of the Earth. I am very grateful for Jesus Christ, his atoning sacrifice, Joseph Smith, and the restored Gospel upon the Earth. I have seen it work in my daily life, and in the daily lives of others. And I know it to be true.

How I live my faith

Well what happens when I don't live my Faith? My days are not as good as they could be. Everyday I strive to read my Scriptures, pray, and have a positive attitude. Some days I don't do these things, and it isn't good. I pay my tithing, attend church, and attend Seminary every weekday before School. Without these things, I am only Dust of the Earth.
