Hi I'm Roland

I'm a Mormon. And my life is good.

About Me

I'm a 5th generation Arizonan, a descendant of pioneers. I've lived in Arizona, Korea, California, and now Colorado. I am happily married with 3 children. I'm a car guy. My sons and I are restoring a 1968 Mustang fastback, 302, 4v, many options. Very fun. I have a BA in Economics from BYU, and an MBA from U.C. Berkeley. Quite the contrast in schools! I loved them both.

Why I am a Mormon

I find when I live my life consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ, that I'm happier, more at peace. As I've studied and prayed to God, I've felt His Spirit witness to me that our church contains the teachings and authority that Christ gave to his disciples.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly with my family each Sunday. I also work with the boys in our churched ages 12-18 as the President of the Young Men in our congregation. It is very rewarding, especially as I see them make good choices that will enable them to be productive members of society. In this role I am also a Scout leader. The Scout Law nicely represents how I strive to live my life. "... trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent." (And yes, I did that from memory!)
