Hi I'm Jennifer

I am a wife and a mother to one beautiful daughter. I am passionate about teaching and I love to bake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and enjoy life! I have been married for 10 years to a wonderful and patient man. We have struggled with infertility throughout our marriage. We have one miracle daughter, who is the light of our lives, and we are eagerly hoping to adopt more children. I teach music lessons to dozens of students each week. I also enjoy cooking and baking, playing the piano, or reading a good book. I can talk on the phone for hours with my friends or sisters (when I have the time!), and I have recently rediscovered my love for camping.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon brings a profound happiness and sense of peace to my life. Attending church and serving others gives me great joy. I was born into a Mormon family, but I remember the time in my teenage years when I wanted to know for myself if the church was really true. I prayed and read the scriptures, and came to know undoubtedly that this is indeed the Savior's true church. Since then, my testimony of the gospel has only grown stronger and surer as I have experienced the ups and downs of life. I love the Savior, and I try everyday to live my life the way that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ would want me to.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to serve and love others with all my heart. I look for opportunities to help and uplift others. Right now, I am blessed to be the music chorister for the primary children (ages 3 - 11) in my ward (congregation). I love being with the children and teaching them about Jesus Christ and His gospel through music.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. We worship God, who is our Heavenly Father, and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth in the latter days. But, although Joseph Smith was a great man who performed an amazing work, he was only a man. We do not worship him in any way. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Definitely not! We are all children of our Heavenly Father, and some of my dearest neighbors and friends are not of my faith. That doesn't mean I don't serve and love them just the same. The church supplies humanitarian aid to people all over the world. The Lord is "no respecter of persons;" He loves all His children equally and has asked us to do the same. Our family enjoys serving through community organizations, such as homeless shelters or hospitals, in addition to the service opportunities available through the church. Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints live throughout the world. You may have friends, neighbors, or co-workers who are members of the church. You can also talk with members of the church who are currently serving full-time missions. To find these missionaries, you can go to mormon.org/missionaries. If you would like to attend a church meeting, you can find a service near you by going to mormon.org/worship. Show more Show less
