Hi I'm Art

I work as an engineer & design stormwater systems. I'm married and have 4 children. I love biking, and camping and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I bike to work when I can, and camp with family and friends. We love living in the Pacific Northwest with all of the diverse terrain, the four seasons, and the beautiful vistas. I appreciate the earth that was created for us. I'm happily married to my wife Annette of over 21 years. We have two sons and two daughters. My wife and kids are the joy of my life and we spend time together whenever we get the chance. We love to plan a big vacation every year and usually end up seeing extended family and friends somewhere along the way. My wife and I love to sing, my kids play various musical instruments including the violin, piano, trombone, and tuba. My work is very rewarding and fulfilling as I help improve and solve problems related to civil infrastructure such roads, bridges, water and sewer systems. It is a blessing to know that my work will help others and serve society for years to come.

Why I am a Mormon

I took a challenge to read the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I prayed to know if it was from God. I felt the Spirit touch my heart and mind and witness to me that it is true! It is true! It is of God and was sent from heaven as another witness of Jesus Christ and his dealings with the inhabitants of the American continents. It compliments and adds to the Holy Bible. I have since received other witnesses from the same Holy Spirit from my Heavenly Father that it is true over and over again. That same Spirit has witnessed to me that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that he also saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. The world has prophets on the earth once again! You can know for yourself what I know about this wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ by reading, pondering and praying about the Book of Mormon. It will bring light, peace, and comfort to your life. I encourage you to read this holy scripture and ask with a sincere heart if it is true. When the Spirit witnesses unto you that it is true, I would hope that you would join, with me, into the only true and living Church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. It is Jesus Christ's church - this I know. I ask you to find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I love helping others learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ. I've been assigned to teach in our Church those newly associated with our church. My 14-year old son and I visit 4-5 other families in our Church each month and look for opportunities to serve them. It has become a blessing to me to visit them and look for ways to help them. We also support the Boy Scouts of America in our area and I have served as a Webelos Den Leader, Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, and Council Risk Management Chair over the past 10+ years.
