Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old college student at a community college. I took 3 semesters up at BYU Idaho and loved it so much. Every on was so friendly and got along so well. I met two of my best friends there and I still keep in touch with them. I am going to school to be a dental hygienist. At first, I really did not know what major to go in to until my little niece came home from the pediatric dentist and told me about her experience. I thought it would be so much fun to work with kids and to be in the medical field. The classes that I am taking are not the easy ones. But it is so much fun, because I have 3 classes with my boyfriend. He is amazing! In high school, I really did not do too many sports. Actually, no sports at all. I got into a cosmetology program for 2 years and received my license while I was still in high school. That was a lot of fun and such a great experience. I am into sewing, drawing, and just being crafty. The most favorite thing to do really is just spending time with my friends and family. They will always be there for me and I love that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon, because I choose to be a mormon. I absolutely love the feeling when I know the spirit is in the room. I love trying to understand what things mean in the Book of Mormon. There are many hard and confusing words and phrases in the verses that can be difficult to interpret. Sometimes I would rather read something else because I do not want to take the time and effort to understand what is being said. But I absolutely know, 100% without a doubt, that the Book of Mormon is true. How can it not be true? The feeling I get when reading is the best feeling. It really is. I am a mormon. I go to three hour church every week because I love learning by the spirit. It really is totally different than just learning about math or english. These are facts that have happened many, many years ago. It is so interesting to know and understand who we came from. I am so grateful! I love being happy and having that hope. I KNOW that we will return to our Heavenly Father and Savior one day. All we need to do is keep his commandments and really do the best we can do to to serve others and live righteously.

How I live my faith

The smiles on peoples faces are priceless when a person does something nice for someone from serving. It is such a great feeling to see others happy around you. About 6 months ago, I got called to be one of the Ward Missionaries. I was so nervous when I got the calling, because they also asked me to teach one of the classes in church for an hour. I was very, very nervous the first time. Like so nervous!! The first couple of times actually could have been my worst nightmare. But as weeks went on.. I have a love for teaching the gospel in my ward. The lesson I teach are about just the basics of what Mormon's believe really. There are missionaries that serve around the world teaching the gospel. I actually really wanted to serve a full time mission until I started dating my boyfriend. I was kind of sad for a bit that I wouldn't be going on one, but then I realized that my husband and I in the future when we are old will serve many missions. There are so many ways to gain knowledge about the history of the church and scriptures. I am so happy that I know I will try and live righteously always so I can be an example to all people. Maybe one day someone will just see a smile on someones face and just yearn for that face so so badly. I am working on my faith everyday.
