Hi I'm Nancy

I am Mormon.

About Me

Mother of three children and three cats. Love doing genealogy, crafts, antiques. Love studying the word.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Baptist Church, I always felt that I was not hearing the whole truth, that something was missing. Over the years I would hopscotch from church to church. I was searching for something but I wasn't sure what it was. For years I had decided to just stay at home read my bible and get to Heaven the best way I could. Then in 2007 my son who was autistic asked me to take him to a church that his favorite aunt went to. Of course I did, every Wed. night for the next 3 or 4 months we attended. Then in June of 2007 my son was called home by the Heavenly Father. Six months later I moved to another town. I had again had decided to try to get to Heaven without attending Church. So 4 years I was without a church, I wanted to belong to a Church, but I couldn't agree with the doctrine of the churches I attended. Then in July of 2011 two missionaries from California knocked on my door. They gave me the Book of Mormon and some pamphlets to read. They always to me to pray to be able to know if it was true. No one had ever told me that before. After every meeting I had with them and every pamphlet they left for me , I studied and I knew without a doubt in the world that the Book of Mormon was true. I was baptized in August of 2011, I have never looked back. I know this Church is true, I know Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet, this I say in the name of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Since I am new to the Church, I haven't had time to get to involved yet. But I am looking forward to helping in the family history center. And would really love to do Temple work.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

So all who have not had the chance to be baptized by the proper authority, while living, may also have a chance at salvation. Show more Show less
