Hi I'm Candace

I am a full time Mom and I provide speech and language therapy for children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of four girls in Utah. I went to college at Brigham Young University, where I met my wonderful husband, and graduated in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. We now live in Arizona where we have grown to love the weather and the people. We have two active little boys, who keep us very entertained and busy. I still see speech clients on the side, which has been a blessing and a joy to stay involved with the community and helping others while raising a family. I love the speech and language field and enjoy working and helping children meet their speech and language goals. I enjoy exercising and reading, so if any of you are looking to fill a spot in your book club, I’m in! I also enjoy capturing our life’s adventures through photography, and blogging which has become one of my more recent passions.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and have been a Mormon my whole life, but am continuing to grow and better my understanding of the gospel each day. An example of this is about a year ago my Mom, who I have always been super close to and looked up to as an example of pure kindness and charity passed away very unexpectedly , at a young age. This has been a huge challenge to raise a young family without my Mom, and for my boys not to have a Grandma. The thing that has got me through the most difficult days of missing her, is to know that I will be able to see and live with her again. Through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have gained a knowledge that my Savior loves me and wants my family to be together eternally! He wants me to be happy! I don't have to worry about why I am here and where I am going in life and this brings such peace during difficult days. I know I will be able to see my Mother again with a surety because of this wonderful gift from my Savior. I can enjoy my life now, knowing there will be a great reunion in the life to come!

How I live my faith

I love working with children through speech in my community and get to continue to help children in my ward as well. I am currently working in the Primary in my ward helping teach young children, 18 months-11yrs, the gospel through words and song. It is so fun to see the children's smiling faces as they learn about Christ from the scriptures and feel his love for them. I also am able to serve the ladies in my ward as a Visiting Teacher, this gives me an opportunity to help and serve women in my ward through visits and caring for them. Mostly as a visiting teacher I have gained so many lasting friendships with women I care so much about.
