Hi I'm Cherri

I am a Balloon Artist. I love the heat of Arizona. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love being out doors doing just about any activity. If something has an adventure to it I would like to participate. Sky diving was my last experience fulfilling that desire. I am a Mom of four sons and one daughter and keeping all of us on ATV trails has been an adventure over many years. Traveling with my husband to new places is top on my list of things to do. Being creatative comes natural and so doing balloon art sculpturing over the last twenty four years has kept that ability alive. I wish I had been able to keep count of how many balloons I have tied during the years. I love to be up for the sunrise and watch the sun set at the end of the day. I am not a cook. I am known for my scorced edges. My family has learned to like the extra flavor. I can be a seemstress for what ever repair or redo that needs to be done, so working with my hands is relaxing. If I could choose to spend a day with only a certain group people it would be my family. I love learning and that makes for an endless list of things to do. I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was fourteen I am now fifty one and it seems like just yesterday. I began going to the LDS church at twelve just to be with my friends but that very quickly turned in to going because of what I was feeling when I was there. In the very begining of my investigation the missionaries came and taught me but because I knew so little about Christ's teachings and because I was so young and immature I felt like I had no answers to their questions. On their second visit instead of answering the door I went and hid in the bushes in the back yard. Now that I have raised a family of five children with my husband and have been an active member for over 37 years I wish I could find those two young missionaries who must have thought I was a lost cause. During that time of investigation and even up until this very day I have felt all along how every principle taught to me or every question I ever had, or any detail that I wondered about all fit into plan of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and always made such perfect sense. It was like putting a big puzzle together and with each bit of knowledge that I have gained over the years the big picture has filled in to be quite a master peice and becomes more clear every day. I have felt the influence of the Holy Ghost in how I live my life and in how I have raised my family. The incredible relationship I have with my husband comes from both of us feeling the assurance of the guidence of living the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are really no words to describe how grateful I am that I found the Church as young as I did. I feel like it was a great blessing and gift. I can't imagine trying to raise a family in this day and age and trying to do it without the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I was blessed to recognize the gospel when it was presented to me.

How I live my faith

How does anyone live anything unless they participate in it. That is what I do when it comes to being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If there is an activity I'm there. If there is a work project I like to dig in and help with it. If there is a meeting that I should be at then I go. I find the association with the members of the Church a very fulfilling experience not to mention the good feelings that come with being active in a good cause.' Life is really too short to not be engaged in a good cause whether it is within the Church or the community. Getting to know and help neighbors and being friendly to strangers who you come in contact with daily is living like Christ would. I look for the good in people first and I know that comes from living a life that encourages seein the best in everything. By reading scriptures daily, by keeping prayer an action in my life not just an adjective, and by following that inner voice, the whisperings of the Holy Ghost in each of us, to choose good things I live my faith daily and love walking that path that the Savior has laid for us. Life is not always easy but at least the rough road can be made more smooth when the teachings of Jesus Christ are followed. I follow those teachings.
