Hi I'm Tammy

I grew up in Northern Arizona where I joined the church in my teens. I enjoy reading and crafts. I love dogs best of all.

About Me

I grew up in a small town and moved to the city in my young adulthood. I've recently restarted my education. I enjoy reading mystery novels, cooking, and some crafts. I'm a mom of one and grandmother of 4 (so far). My friends think I'm nuts, but they keep inviting me along, (I'm pretty sure it's for the entertainment value!).

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, most of my friends were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm not sure why we gravitated toward each other, but we had a lot of fun and they taught me alot about being selfless and of service, and still enjoying life. I went to Mutual with my friends and in my late teens asked to have the missionaries come and be baptized. It was a great time of my life. My brother joined at the same time as I, and our mother joined a few years later. She and I have become closer through the years, partially due to our common interest in and love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through my trials in past years, I have found a testimony of faith. Faith for me is to believe in something I cannot see with my eyes, nor hear with my ears, but speaks softly and boldly within my heart. I have found whenever I am down, I exercise faith - sometimes it's just in knowing whose hands will be lifting me up, and know that I will continue forward. He never fails me. Without the Gospel of Jesus Christ as I understand it, I do not believe I would have the wonderful relationship with my Lord and Savior that I am blessed to enjoy each day. I wouldn't change where I am, and by whose grace, for anything else the world has to offer.

How I live my faith

I have been called to a number of positions, but I think the one I enjoy most is being compassionate service leader, where I am blessed to organize meals and other assistance to those in need in our area. I also am able to assist friends in their callings, using some of my computer skills and creative talents.
