Hi I'm Tony Kibbie

I'm a Mormon.

We have 25 grandchildren and one great grand child I sing in the chorus with Seattle Opera I am a published Science Fiction Writer I am an agency district manager for Colonial Life I love hiking in the deep mountains, wood carving, and being with family I graduated from Snohomish High School and attended the University of Washington

Why I am a Mormon

Life has a way of making itself very present upon oneself. When I was in college I felt a void in my own life. Interestingly, I was raised in the church, yet did not see it for what it was until I was in college looking into the eyes of my best friend and soon-to-be bride, Char. It was then that I realized that there was more to life than mortality and 'getting ahead in the world'. I wanted to be with her forever and knew that the life I was living was simply not going to cut it. The words my mother spoke to me so many times came to my mind and I knew that in order to fulfill my dreams I was going to have to do what I knew I had to. I cleaned myself up, straightened out my life and went back to church... and never looked back. Since that momentous day I have had the Spirit bear witness to me many times that I had made the right decision.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of the Clark Lake Ward in the Kent Washington Stake and am the Ward Executive Secretary. My last son is going on his mission soon and I am working with the missionaries in my own ward doing those things my son will be doing. I want to feel what he feels and understand his trials and successes. I never went on a mission, myself (I could have and should have). So, I am going to serve along side my son even though he will be in Brazil and I will be in Kent. Family prayers morning and night are an integral part of our family and has a definite impact on how our days and nights go. I highly recommend it.
