Hi I'm Jeff Nuttall

I am the oldest of 10, and have 10 children in a mixed family. I grew up in Southeastern Washington. I am a database analyst.

About Me

I love my family. I try very hard to make things better around me. I love Jesus Christ and His truth. I believe that the truth makes us free, and that liberty is very important. I grew up in Southeastern Washington, and love that area. I enjoy spending time with my family and bike riding. I try to weight lift and run (in order to keep up with my cross country children). I enjoy thinking, philosophy, computers, religion, and sports (wrestling, football). I work for Oracle as a database analyst, and I like programming with Java. My wife and I recently opened a Pizza and Ice Cream shop.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church. I fully believe that Jesus Christ lives and is God. I love Him and want to follow Him in every way I can. I communicate with Him in prayer. As a young man, I spent two years as an LDS missionary in Andalucia, Spain. I love the people and the area there. I got to know many people of various faiths. I learned a lot from them. The Holy Spirit testified to me of the truth found in the Book of Mormon, that Jesus Christ lives, that He is God, and that I need to do things to follow him. I learned that He cares deeply for each of us. I believe that Jesus Christ speaks to prophets today, and that the organization of the LDS Church was important to Him. The information that Jesus Christ teaches me, through the scriptures, living prophets, or personally has made my life very rich and blessed. Because He loves, He has made my life difficult at times. For example, my daughter has had leukemia and I am divorced and remarried. Even though people in the church make mistakes, I need the brotherhood of those who would try to follow Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am the father of 10 children. I believe this is a great blessing of service, where I can truly make a difference. My hope is to be able to pass on my love and desire for Jesus Christ to my children, who will pass it on to those they are around. I work hard to stand up for the downtrodden. The "illegal" alien is my friend, as I believe that all people have standing with Jesus Christ. I mourn for my countrymen that do not know Jesus Christ well enough to understand that. I work hard to make things better, wherever I am. That is my goal in life. I currently serve as a Cub Scout den leader. My hope is that the boys will catch my desire to make things better and love for Jesus Christ. As I work with them, I am reminded of how critical and foundational the teachings of Jesus Christ are to everything we do. At work, Jesus Christ's teachings help me very much. He teaches us that truth makes us free and happy. I find that as I approach computer problems with that in mind, understanding and solving the problems becomes much easier, rather than embracing my own preferences, which would usually be the cause of the problems.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jeff Nuttall
Jesus Christ lives, is all powerful, all knowing, is God, is loving, just, and merciful. He is our only hope to conquer physical and spiritual death. He has conquered both, and if we turn to Him, He will save us from both as well. Jesus Christ is the Son of God in the sense that He was born to this earth as the son of God the Father, and Mary, a virgin. When Jesus Christ visited the people in the Americas shortly after His resurrection, He testified that He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end (3 Nephi 9:18). "I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are". (3 Nephi 9:15) And that He is "the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and [has] been slain for the sins of the world." (3 Nephi 11:14) So, the Book of Mormon testifies that not only is Jesus Christ God, The God of the Old Testament, but that He is God without beginning and without ending, our Redeemer.
