Hi I'm Steve Larsen

I was raised in Idaho in a good LDS (Mormon) Family. The Church gives me hope and a reason to be and live happy from day to day!

About Me

I lived in Idaho most of my life and love Idaho life and the friendly people of Idaho, however several years ago I moved to Arizona for my health. My body loves the dry heat of Arizona. One of the things I love about being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) is the fact that where ever you go, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the Mormons) believe and teach the same things and have the same values and one congregation (Ward) doesn't interpret things differently than another congregation (Ward). After working in the corporate world for many years in Idaho and doing handy man work on the side since I was a young nine year old boy, I decided to make my hobby my full time work and became a full time handy man after moving to Arizona. I have found that I really love my work for several reasons, one of which is It gives me a chance to know so many different people and make friends with many of them. I am married and the Father of 5 children and have 12 Grand Children. I find both my children and Grand Children to be a delight in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ all my life but was not truly converted until later in my life when I really needed to know the truth of the things I had been taught all my life. I began reading and feasting on the scriptures and praying to know if they were, in fact, the word of God. I have read all the standard works of the Church including The Bible, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price and have received a witness through the Power of the Holy Ghost which has testified to my soul that they are all in fact "The word of God" and are true and have been given to mankind for our benefit in knowing what the Lord expects of us and how others in the past have made mistakes and how we can avoid making those same mistakes. I know from the deepest depths of my soul, that the Bible is the word of God as far as it has been translated correctly and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Both books are histories of people from the past, the Bible being a history of the people of the old world and the Book of Mormon being a history of the ancient people of this continent. Both records are fascinating and help us know what God wants us to do and how we should live and they contain the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These records teach us of the love God and Jesus Christ have for all of us. To find out if this is true, all you have to do is pray and ask. God loves you and is there for you! The Bible tells us so in James Chapter One Verses Five and Six, "(5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." Knock and it shall be opened unto you! Ask and ye shall receive, but you have to ask! Just ask! Your Heavenly Father is there waiting for you! He loves you and wants you to come live with him again, so don't wait! ASK!

How I live my faith

I look forward to Sundays where we meet together as Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, (Mormons) and have the opportunity to serve the Lord and our fellowman through callings in the Church and also have the opportunity to receive information about how we should be living our lives in today's world. I also have the opportunity to do Home Teaching every month, which is where another member of the church and I have a few families that we go visit each month. We give them an inspirational gospel message and get to know them and help them with any needs that we might be able to help with, whether those needs be temporal or spiritual. If we find a family needs help of any kind, we report the need to our Bishop (leader of the congregation or ward) for further action. Most members of the Church have a calling in the church such as Sunday School Teacher, etc.. Our callings give us the opportunity to get close and stay close to our Heavenly Father and ask for and receive his help by inspiration and guidance through the power of the Holy Ghost. Being a member of Christs Church gives you a wonderful and warm feeling inside, a feeling we would like to share with others so you can feel as good as we do.
