Hi I'm Marci

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a "Mormon"! We are a peculiar people in a remarkable sort of way~ Just different enough to be noticed yet blend in nicely with all God's children. One of my favorite quotes is from Joseph Smith...." Friendship is the grand fundamental principal of Mormonism, to revolutionize and civilize the world. --------- pour forth love." After our Savior's resurrection, His new commandment (John 13:34) was to love one another. He IS love. For me, this is a pure and simple truth and admonition which speaks volumes. Loving one another and understanding this as His heartfelt plea to us is a beautiful and sacred stewardship.

Why I am a Mormon

We are all converts whether born in the church or enter the waters of baptism later in life. Although born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, my conversion came much later in life! I was born a free spirit and didn't always appreciate the blessings of membership and activity in the church. At times it felt as though I was a feather in the wind until it became clear to me, through study of the Book of Mormon and prayer, that the answers are neatly packaged for us by a loving Savior who patiently waits for us to Come unto Him. I love the gospel! I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of the Lord and he restored Christ's church in these latter days.....I know this. I'm deeply humbled and grateful for His love and the gift of His restored gospel.

How I live my faith

To serve our brothers and sisters is to bask in the love of our Savior. Not only our fellowman within the church, but all of our brothers and sisters. It's my belief that every person we are fortunate to meet has something of value to teach us. Whether it be teaching the children, participating in a community project, or making dinner for others in need, to rub shoulders with God's children is my greatest joy! Being a visiting teacher with in the Relief Society organization is such a privilege. I feel it awards us with relationships we may not have had otherwise. In personally difficult times, to serve another sister in need becomes the Balm of healing for myself. It helps me to understand the admonition of Christ when He said that to lose our lives we will find them. (Matthew 10.39)

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is given to us as a guide and a comfort. He doesn't shout! His whispers are soft and sweet and always positive. I've had many wonderful experiences in my life where the Holy Ghost has helped me out of difficult situations and into great ones. I've also had those promptings that I did not heed and as a result, experienced difficulty. Oh had I listened and trusted! We are all human.....there is no such thing as failure, only opportunities to learn and grow. Show more Show less
