Hi I'm John

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two, one boy and one girl. I married my high school sweet heart and still enjoy her smile today. I retired from the navy after two tours to Iraq (seabee). I have been an automotive mechanic for over 20 years. I come from a family of five children and my mother and father. I enjoy all sport and games that challenge the physical body and the mind. I am a good with my hands; metal, wood, plastic, and hydraulics. I enjoy some video games. I like to ride my motorcycle so I ride to work as much as I can. I really like to go for rides with my wife. I love all types of animals.

Why I am a Mormon

I grow up in the church and as I was growing up alot of things about the church came natural like; devotion to family, charity work, integrity at work and at home, and fellowship amoung all people. I challenged alot of thing at a young age by attending all types of churches. I fell away from the church, but I did not give up on the value that I grow up with. I was happy that my wife of 22 years decided to gone the church. I think that it had a little to do with the two tours in Iraq that she supported me and the family through. My wife and I decided that we were going the work hard and become worth to get married in the temple. When I was very young I bit an electrical cord and my mouth was burnt so bad that half of my lips were melted together. My mother took me to the doctor and put aloe on it and it was healing very slowly, and it my lips were still together. My mother decided to have the bishop with some elders give my a blessing so that it would heal correctly. My mother and father were told that my mouth would be that way for the rest of my life. Within a couple of mouths after the blessing my mouth opened up and other than a small scare nobody can tell that anything has happened. I have been truly blessed by my mother faith.

How I live my faith

I read the book of mormon and bible everyday; some days it is a chapter and some days it is a book. I feel that if you want to know something you have to due research and ask questions. I am a cub scout leader and find that children have a drive to gather information and I am proud to be part of something that molds young minds for the better. I try to stay involved with the elders quorum as much as my work will allow. I am just starting to get involved with hometeaching, I am happy to visit a couple of families and offer any help that I can even if it is a prayer. I go to the temple to do work for freinds, family, and people that can not do their work for themselves.
