Hi I'm Sister Ashley Smith

I am Serving as a Full Time Missionary in the Missouri Independence Mission, and I have a twin Sister and a little brother I love.

About Me

Hello there! I have served in several places here in Missouri, I have served in St. Joesph City and Clinton, MO as well as Olathe City, KS. I love being a missionary and serving the lord with all my heart might mind and strength. I know that the most important thing we can earn in this life is a personal testimony that we have a loving Father in Heaven who sent his son, our Savior even Jesus Christ for us (John 3:16) and that we can know of these things ourselves as we pray and ask God, according to the instructions given by a prophet in the Book of Mormon, found in Moroni 10:2-5. I love teaching his word and finding joy in his service. I went to Arizona State University to Study Graphic Design and have put that dream on hold as I leave my family for 1 and 1/2 years to bring other families together. I love Soccer, art, track, and having fun, but I truly find the most joy in living the Gospel, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

The more I learn about this church, where it came from and the scriptures, the more it just seems to make sense. It just makes everything else fall into place when we do what the lord asks us to do. Of course it's hard to do what the lord is asking of us Just as Christ was willing to perform his labors here on Earth during his own trials, so too should we. There is a God, a loving Father in Heaven who hears and answers our prayers, my prayers and he know me by name and by heart and he wants me to succeed and has outlined a perfect plan for his imperfect children to return home. The eveidence that this is true, and that he loved those who lived in Jerusalem and in the Americas is the Book of Mormon, a book with which ads to the Testimony of those in the Bible and is the Keystone to our Religion. Because we know Christ lived and died for all he too would have commended those in the Americas to keep a sacred record, which is the Book of Mormon, because of this Death has no Victory nor sting-Mosiah 16:7-9 and after we die we will live again and be with God and our families for time and all etenrity and know complete Joy if we do what he has asked of us.

How I live my faith

As fully as I can each and every day as I serve the Lord and do all that I can to be an "All In" Missionary. Everyday we get up exercize, study eating a healthy heaping of the spiritual kind of foo "Feasting Upon the Words of Christ" and muching on the physical kind of food as well. There is a great work to be done, and everyday is a Great Day to be a Missionary!

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Sister Ashley Smith
Attending church is great and we need to attend church every Sunday, it is to partake of the sacrament, receive guidance and learn new lessons of the Gospel or to teach them. The Temple is a sacred place and is the House of The Lord on Earth and is to preform sacred ordinances, like marriage and other sacred things but we need to be worthy to go there, that is why we want only LDS or Mormon people to enter, and not even all Mormons can if they don't uphold our standards. The Temple is very sacred and you can feel the spirit of God there. Show more Show less
