Hi I'm Jim

I was born in California, raised in Arizona, and am now an attorney in a Phoenix law firm. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My teenagers and I moonlight as mobile DJs for various schools in the Phoenix area. I enjoy piano composition, ballroom latin dance, camping, travel and ocean activities. I am married to the woman of my dreams and have six wonderful children. I am a published author and frequently lecture to attorneys and CPAs on topics within my field of practice. But most of all, I enjoy spending time at home, and away from home, with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have read many times and continue to study the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. In asking God through prayer whether the things I have read are true, I have received a personal witness that they are, and that I can become a better person by living the precepts taught in those volumes of scripture. I know that they contain the word of God, and I am completely persuaded by them and through prayer that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is my Savior. Provided that I have faith in Him, and demonstrate that faith by living in a manner obedient to His commandments, receiving gospel ordinances and following His teachings the best I can, I know that through His grace I will be able to live with Him after this life. If my family does likewise, we will be an eternal family in the hereafter.

How I live my faith

My wife and I work to teach gospel principles to our children. We pray together as a family, share daily experiences and their spiritual import, and invite our friends and acquaintances (of whatever religious affiliation or background) to share their experiences and spiritual insights with us, and ours with them. By this we find that we lift one another and come closer together in Christ. We regularly attend church gatherings and likewise strengthen one another. As a family we spend time most days reading together from the holy scriptures, and sharing with one another our feelings on how we can better live after the manner that Christ has taught. My family and I volunteer time in various local causes, which help us better understand the needs of others, and see life and its hardships through others' eyes. We find that as we do these things together, these experiences also have the effect of drawing us nearer to each other.
