Hi I'm Emily

Being a wife and mother to 4 boys keeps me plenty busy .I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being such an organized person I had a plan for every senario when I graduated high school. As it turns out I followed plan B. I finished college, married by sweetheart and am currently being a stay at home Mom to 4 boys. Time for myself is rare but I love to workout, cook (that's probably why I love to workout), read, hike, and have date night. Motherhood isn't near as easy as I thought it would be. I am always striving to be more patient. I am working to be content with what I have been given. No matter how difficult motherhood is I love the rewards of smiles, hugs, kisses, and being the only person who can make an owie better.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but I wasn't converted until I was in high school. It was at this time that I started to really wonder if I went to church because it was what was expected or if it was because I believed it. If we thought our church was right then didn't every other religion believe theirs was too. This is when I put into practice all those things that they teach in primary. It was time to search, ponder, and pray. I studied the scriptures and read the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time. I looked into a couple other church to see what they taught. I prayed fervently to my Father in Heaven about the questions in my heart. I didn't gain a testimony of everything at once. In fact I am still gaining a testimony of principles of the gospel. But I did discover that Heavenly Father is there and he loves me. When I prayed for this it felt as if his arms litterally surrounded me and I could feel his love. I prayed to know that the Book of Mormon was true. If that is true than surely the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints must be as well. The gospel makes me happy. It gives me direction, peace and hope. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving with the cub scouts as a Webelos leader and awards cordinator. I love the scouting program. It is a great way to help the young boys learn skills to help them be good citizens and follow good morals. I also am a ward missionary. I love being able to visit families and share my testimony and hear others testimonies of the gospel.
