Hi I'm Ashley

I’m a farm girl, I’m a middle child, currently a full time missionary, I love to sing, and I’m a MORMON!

About Me

I was raised on a beautiful wheat farm in Eastern Oregon surrounded by a bundle of relatives. Growing up, I learned the importance of hard work and integrity. I am one of seven kids! My family means everything to me, and we have a ton of fun together. We are all best friends. After I graduated high school, I headed off to BYU-Idaho to study music. Now I am serving a full time mission in Colorado!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but the decision to stay a part of it was my own. I was taught as a child that I had a Heavenly Father who loved me very much and wanted me to always be happy, so He created a plan for our families to be able to be together forever. It was this idea, and the hope that it was true, that grabbed a hold of my heart. I began to study and to “experiment upon the words” I read in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon has a special promise that by reading it, you will grow closer to God. I saw that come true in my life. I experienced the healing power of the Savior’s love in my darkest moments as I clung to the words in the Book of Mormon. The cool thing about the Church is that it is either all true, or none of it is. Because I knew that the Book of Mormon was true, I knew the rest of the teachings in the church were really from God and that they were true. I have never had more peace, joy, and success than when I am doing my best to follow my Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the scriptures and praying every day. Right now, as a full time missionary, I share and talk with people about the Savior every day. I love His teachings, and do my best to live them. The experiences I have had in turning to my Savior have made me who I am. I love Him!
