Hi I'm Tyler

I'm the middle child of ten kids. I love learning. I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the beautiful Colorado, Colorado Springs mission. I grew up in Eastern Washington and enjoy biking, backpacking, cooking, camping and spending time with my family and friends. I'm an Eagle Scout. I'm the 5th out of 10 kids in my wonderful family. I've always had an interest in mathematics and physics. After completing my 2 year mission, I will attend a Brigham Young University and study physics to eventually take me into the energy field.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by wonderful parents who have brought me up in the church and been great examples for me. They showed me the way to live and raised me up to look towards Christ. As a youth, I came to know for myself that what they taught me is true. I know I have a Heavenly Father that loves his children and a Savior Jesus Christ who took upon himself the sins of the world. I know that though Jesus Christ all men can change to become like Him and live again with their Father in heaven. I know that Christ has restored his true church on the earth today through the prophet Joseph Smith. He called Joseph Smith as a prophet and He has called other prophets through which he directs His church today. Being part of this church has helped me see who I am, where I want to go and who I want to become. My greatest joys have come through doing what I know the Savior would have me do. I love this church because it is filled with light. I love studying the Book of Mormon, it testifies of Christ, and teaches how to live His gospel. I am also so grateful for prayer, a person line of communication between my Heavenly Father and me, made available through my Savior Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon for me is being part of Christ's church. It is the way for me to progress and one day return home to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a full time 2 year mission in Colorado Springs, CO. I spend every day doing my best to serve my Heavenly Father and share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. As a youth, I participated in my ward's youth and scouting programs. I served as a leader and participated in my wards young mens group. I also love doing family history: learning more about my ancestors, finding them, and taking their names to the temple. I love studying the scriptures and learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my family and try to develop Christ-like attributes to become more like Him.
