Hi I'm Aida

I'm a Mormon, a wife, mother, grandmother, and an animal lover--especially dogs.

About Me

I'm a retired business woman. I owned my own dog grooming shop in New Jersey for 17 years. I enjoy my little dog and taking care of my daughter's dogs. I also enjoy gardening (especially roses and marigolds) and visiting the women in our church that I have responsibility for visiting with each month. Before moving to Colorado 4 years ago from New Jersey, I loved teaching the young children in Sunday School.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Catholic and enjoyed the many years I attended the Catholic church. However, I was missing something and could not quite put my finger on what it was. I visited different religious institutions and was still not satisfied. Then, nine years ago, my daughter became a member of the Mormon church. Interested in knowing more about how she embraced the Mormon church, I asked her to direct me. Missionaries came to my home, and I loved having them. After what amounted to many hours of discussions over a number of visits, I decided to get baptized. I was thrilled. A little over a year later, my daughter and I went through the Los Angeles Temple. I have been very blessed since I joined the Mormon church. I love God and am happy with all the blessings he provides to me and my family.

How I live my faith

I love being a faithful member of the Mormon church. For the past several years I was working as a supervisor of the monthly visiting teaching assignments for the sisters of our local congregation. Because we feel it's important to visit our sisters each month to see how they're doing, to see whether they need any help in any way, and so forth, I took this responsibility seriously to encourage the sisters to make their visits. Now I serve as a substitute teacher for the young children in Sunday School. I love the little children and feel it's a great blessing to be able to teach them. When I serve others, I glorify God and my life is richly blessed.
