Hi I'm Dick Molter
I'm a retired High School German teacher. I live in Washington State. I'm a grandfather of 10. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My wife and I have two daughters, ten grandchildren (ages 2-29) and two great-grandchildren. We love to travel, met while we were skiing and love the out-of-doors. I taught German in High School for 28 years and was an office manager after retiring. I love to read and watch movies. I also like to work in the yard and garden.
Why I am a Mormon
I joined the Mormon Church when I was a Junior in High School, mostly because of my best friend and others I met. I love the Church and what it stands for. My family is the most important thing in my life along with my membership in the Church. I serve, along with my wife in the Temple of our Lord and that brings me much joy. After joining the Church I was able to serve a mission in Norway and, after retirement, my wife and I served a mission together for almost two years in Budapest, Hungary. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me a road map for life and an assurance that life is eternal and my family and I can be together forever.
How I live my faith
I serve in my local congregation (ward) and do so without compensation. We are a lay church and all serve together. I visit three families on a monthly basis and try to help care for their needs. My wife and i serve together in the Temple once or twice a week. We sing in the ward choir, speak in Sacrament meeting and teach in classes when asked.
