Hi I'm Kay

I was baptized when I was 18. Now I am a mother, and a grandmother! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a business woman. It has been 41years since I joined the church. I have watched our small town grow into a city. I have watched business come and go to our community as it has grown. I have met, loved, and said goodbye to friends and family. I have been active in PTA, watched my children from the sidelines of sports, dance, and activities. I have raised animals and gardens. I have given my daughter a kidney when she went through kidney failure nearly 20 years ago. Through it all, I have always know the Savior, Jesus Christ... He is my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

When I first heard what the "Mormon" believed, I didn't believe it. After weeks of taking lessons to "just get info", I was touched by a humble testimony of a 16 year old girl. I felt the Holy Ghost witness to me that what I was being taught was "all true"!!! I was so amazed as the light bulb came on. I have stayed true to that witness, living my life in tune the best I could with teaching of the Holy Ghost. I have found peace through all the trials of life. I have loved watching my children grow up and learn for themselves of the gospel truths. Not all my children have chosen to embrace their teachings, but I am prayerful that that day will come. Living the teachings of the gospel has helped me in so many ways. I have learned to give of myself in time, energy, money, everything. Always what little I give away of myself, comes back in so many ways. I have learned confidence as I realize I am a daughter of Heavenly Father. He loves me. He wants me to succeed in all I do. He wants me to be caring, loving, and giving as the Savior Jesus Christ was when He lived on earth. So I try my best to always serve Him by serving others. Do I always succeed? NO! But His grace and my repentance always get me back on track.

How I live my faith

41 years is a long time to serve Jesus by serving others. I hope I have another 41 to give. I have taught 3 year children to sit quietly and pray with their arms folded. I have helped myself by honing skills as I helped women to learn to cook and sew. I have played, laughed, cried, and born testimony to teens to help them come unto Christ. I would ask you now, come unto Him!
