Hi I'm Priscilla

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Canada, but became a US citizen in 2002. I have twelve children and fifty-four grandchildren.

About Me

I had a wonderful life growing up in a small “Mormon” town in Southern Alberta, Canada. My home was kitty-corner from the LDS Temple there, and it pleased me to look upon its magnificence daily, and to walked its block to school for twelve years. Though I did not fully understand, at that time, the purpose of such an edifice, I knew in my mind and heart that sacred gifts would one day be given me there, if I would be faithful in keeping the commandments of God and learning His gospel. Life was good in those days, and innocence was bliss. I was blessed with great family relationships, wonderful friends, inspiring teachers, and scores of great opportunities. After graduating from High School I attended Brigham Young University. Again, I was surrounded by good people and wholesome activities. In September of 1964 my life-long wish was granted as I entered the House of the Lord, the one kitty-corner from my home, with my sweetheart to receive those sacred sought-for gifts. The passing years have brought the fulfillment of many of these promised blessings. I am married to a truly honorable man who is my hero in every way. For nearly fifty years he has cared for me with kindness and love. We are the parents of twelve wonderful children and find delight in each of our fifty-four awesome grandchildren. My greatest desire is that each one will be totally enveloped by the Gospel of Jesus Christ so to wear the armor of the Holy Spirit because they have chosen to live a righteous life.

Why I am a Mormon

Born a fifth generation Latter-day Saint, I hold in high regard the faith of my ancestors who accepted the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, left their native lands and eventually settled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. I have been taught and have studied the doctrines and principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ from my childhood. Through prayer and the promptings of the Holy Ghost, I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church of God restored to this earth in the these latter-days through the instrumentality of the prophet Joseph Smith . I have no doubt concerning the visitation of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to the young Joseph wherein was ushered the fullness of the everlasting gospel of the Lamb. I readily stand to testify that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, the Great Jehovah, the resurrected Lord and the Savior of the world.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are now retired. Throughout our lives we have been blessed of the Lord in all things. Our greatest desire now is to dedicate our time and our lives to Him in full time missionary service, which includes teaching others about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Recently we completed one eighteen month mission in Washington State. We are now preparing for service in faraway Bulgaria. Like Nephi of old we will go and we will do all that the Lord will or may require us to do. Regardless of our imperfections and inabilities, He will provide a way for us to accomplish His tasks. I know this and believe it with all my heart.
