Hi I'm Scott

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Spokane Washington but now live in Twin Falls, Idaho. I'm a scoutmaster and a Rotarian.

About Me

I am a father of 3. Growing up I loved athletics, football, basketball, baseball, golf, skiing and others. I stil enjoy doing these activities. I am a Scoutmaster and a member of Rotary.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by LDS parents and have always had a testimony of the church and it's teachings. My dad joined the church when he was in high school because of some great friends who set a good example and helped him. My dad died when I was 15 years old. Knowing the teachings of the church, that I will be able to see him again is a great comfort to me. Those teachings helped me through that difficult time in my life. I grew up always wanting to go on a mission for the church and when i turned 19 and was able to go, I was excited. Even though i had grown up with a testimony, as i was preparing for my mission i realised that i really needed a witness of the truth of what i was going to be teaching. So i put the promise of the Book of Mormon to the test. (Moroni 10:4-5) I had read the Book of Mormon and studied it, and one night i spent a long night on my knees praying for a witness of it's truthfulness. I didn't want to get up until i had received that witness. Well i received the answer to my prayer and that has stayed with me throughout my life and has helped me.

How I live my faith

I have found great joy and satisfaction in serving others. I am an active Rotarian, involved in many community projects. I serve as a scoutmaster and love working with these great young men, who are the future of this country. Each month i visit with members of my ward, families, widows and couples who i check in on and make sure they're ok and their needs are being taken care of.
