Hi I'm Micheal

I grew up in Schenectady, NY and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single father with 3 beautiful kids. Ages from 25 - 7. I love to spend time outside with them. From throwing a football to drawing hop-scotch squares on the sidewalk. I enjoy getting in the car with the kids and just driving somewhere. Once we ended up at the ocean and another time we ended up in Oregon.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the church when my sisters and I were growing up. They taught us to be tolerant of all beliefs and ideas. They wanted each of us to decide on our own what religion, if any, we would join. Normally a child who has parents that are members of the church are baptized when they are eight years old, I looked at other churches and decided when I was 12 years old to be baptized a Mormon. The most important aspect of my faith is that my family can live together forever after we leave this Earth. If I couldn't be with my kids for eternity then I feel I would indeed be experiencing misery.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church. My current assignment is being the secretary in the Young Mens program. My son is 14 and is currently in the Young Mens program. I have to opportunity to see him interact with other kids his age and they participate in activities like camping with the Boy Scouts, or shooting black powder rifles. The youth I work with teach me more than I teach them.
