Hi I'm Ryan Hill

I'm a Mormon. I am an outdoor educator and a long distance motorcycle racer. My eskimo name is Nanuq and I love my wife's brownies

About Me

My wife Angie and I are the parents of five boys: our birth son is three and our four foster son's are 14, 15, 18 and 18. I love my home state of Alaska. I lived on the north slope in the Arcitc for several years and we resided in sitka now for about four years. I am an outdoor educator with most of my pedagogy evolving around cultural methodology threaded with more mainstream wilderness survival. But, I do teach some elective courses like geocaching, hiking, backpacking, whaling, wilderness medicine and AK history. I love the rich diversity of Alaska. We are a state with several languages and cultures. I usually travel by snow machine, and four wheeler, however since moving to a larger city in Alaska-we boast about 8,000 people I am forced to travel by foot or on my motorcycle, which I've driven from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska the farthest northern accessible by car town in North America to Key West Florida. I endulge in the long distance Iron Butt runs.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I was miraculously born to two amazing people: Tim and Judy Hill. However, I really became a convert when I was about thirteen years old when I investigated the church doctorine for myself.

How I live my faith

One day at a time. the two most important things to me are people and experiences. Both are intertewind and the gospel supports both of my endeavors.
