Hi I'm Laura

I am a Daughter of our Heavenly Father, a Wife, and a Mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Wife to an amazing man and a Mother to three beautiful girls. I am the youngest of nine children by five years. I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. I moved to Arizona as an adult but often visited Arizona as a child. I love to work on genealogy, fish, camp and try new recipes. I am not perfect in anyway but I try to live my life so I am a great example to my daughters and teach them what it really means to be a Child of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know what it is like to not be and to live without the Gospel. I was raised Mormon and during my teens I left the church because I felt like I didn't have my own testimony of the teachings... While I was away I explored other religions and even was baptized into another faith. Not soon later I became depressed and I realized how much happier I was when I had the promptings of the Holy Ghost in my life. I missed the teachings and all of the happiness and blessings that came along with following the principles I have been taught and know are true. When I decided to come back to church I made the first step by attending a Young Single Adult fireside. At that fireside I had the Spirit bear witness to me that the path I was soon to begin would be the path that the Lord has laid for me. I knew without a doubt that this is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ restored here in the Latter days. I know that Joseph Smith is a true Prophet, Seer, and Revelator and I know that The Book Of Mormon is the true word of God.

How I live my faith

I always say being Mormon isn't a religion, it's a lifestyle. I am who I am because of my beliefs. I live my faith by upholding my callings and making it possible for my husband to uphold his. I have had a few callings over the years. One was to be an adviser or to be on the committee that meets together to plan activities that will enrich the women's lives both spiritually and temporally in my ward and community. Another one is too be a team teacher with my husband over the 11 year olds in the church and now currently we teach the 14-16 year olds. I visit with sisters in my area on a monthly basis and teach them gospel principles in their home. I try to provide service to those who are in need. I try my best to be an example to the people in my life and anyone I meet. I raise my Girls so that they may be a light for those who do not have one in their life and that they too are Daughters of Our Heavenly Father.
