Hi I'm Deanna

I'm a photographer and artist. I'm an agriculturist. I'm a "Mormon."

About Me

I was born in Utah and raised in Arizona. I love working with plants and animals. In high school, I raised four lambs, one pig, and a few chickens through the local FFA chapter (Future Farmers of America). I spent most of my time being heavily involved in the FFA, and no I never lived on a farm. I hope to attend college soon & major in Agricultural Education so I can teach high school ag classes. In my spare time I enjoy taking pictures, painting, drawing, attempting to play the piano, and singing--especially the hymns. I am not perfect-- I have made mistakes and had my fair share of trials & hard times. And I am greatful for each and everyone of them, because they have helped me to learn and grow and make me who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I did grow up in a Mormon home. However, I am a Mormon because I believe that this church is Christ's Church and that the gospel is true. I have had the spirit testify this to me numerous times. Every time I pray with a sincere heart, wether it be to know if the church is true; if the Book of Mormon is true; to give thanks; or simply to be comforted, I feel the spirit surround me with peace and comfort, testifing to me that Jesus Christ lives, that the gospel is true, and that everything will work out. I feel true joy when I am living the gospel, especially when I get to share that with my family. I know that the family is central to God's plan. I could not imagine my life with out the gospel and I don't know where I would be with out. Because of it I know who I am, why I am here, and where I am going.

How I live my faith

I do my best to follow the council the prophets have given us and keep the commandments. I pray and study the scriptures daily. I attend my church meetings regularly and am currently attending Institute (Institute of Religion- where gospel & scripture based classes are offered thru the church). I attend the temple every chance I get.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Deanna
The most important and best way to come to know our Father in Heaven is through prayer. Prayer allows us to communicate with Him. We can share our experiences, troubles, wants and desires, gratitude, and love with Heavenly Father through personal prayer. As we do this with an open heart and sincerety, we will grow closer to Him. We aslo can study the scriptures, keep the commandments, and observe the wonderful creations around us. As we do all these things we will come to know our Father in Heaven better. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Deanna
A testimony is a spiritual witness given to an individual by the Holy Ghost. It is esentialy what that individual believes to be true, in this case about the gospel, Christ, the Book of Mormon, the atonment, Joseph Smith and the current prophet. Typically a testimony is received gradualy and is NOT usually recieved all at once. As we share or testimony with others and continue to follow the prophet and keep the commandments, our testimonies are strengthened. Show more Show less
