Hi I'm Lindsay

I have 3 children, 16 months apart...can you guess? My career is Motherhood and home life. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a mother to 3 children, 16 months apart. After years fertility issues, we were blessed with boy/girl twins. Then 6 months later, we miraculously got pregnant without the assistance of doctors. At first, motherhood was very overwhelming with three very young children. I got through the stress with continual prayer and daily scripture study. I understand those moms who feel frazzled, lost, overwhelmed, and mostly exhausted. A few years have past now and life is much easier and so enjoyable. Before motherhood, I worked in the salon business for many years as an Esthetician. That was a great experience for me. I am an outgoing person and enjoy talking with others. I come from a large family of 9 children. That has shaped me to be bold, confident and not afraid to talk to strangers. I enjoy sewing, but I go in phases with it. I mostly sew clothes for myself. It has come in handy as I attempt to find modest clothing and cannot. I also enjoy reading sci/fi fantasy type novels along with Lee Child novels. I eat some form a candy every day, usually chocolate. I am a big believer of family time. Having dinner as a family is important. The food is not as important as the communication. Every day I thank Heavenly Father that I can stay home with my children and I also thank my husband daily who works diligently to make this blessing possible. I've experienced my happiest moments as a wife and a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on this earth. It is the Gospel that Christ set up when He was on the earth. The Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ. I've known these truths since I was eleven years old. It was evening and I decided to pray for myself to know if this truly was God's church. I had a sweet and sacred experience confirming to me that yes, this truly is His church. I've never doubted since. Although that was my first experience receiving answer to prayer, daily, I am reminded how this church is true through daily scripture study. It is difficult to describe the joy and peace I feel as I study from these sacred records. The ancient prophets gave everything so we may have their words, which are God's words. They even gave their lives, as Christ did. My faith is renewed constantly through my choices, sometimes good and sometimes bad. I know through the Atonement I can repent and be a better person. Positive change is real with Christ's help. I know God lives, He knows my name and I am a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every week. I teach a class to a group of woman ages 18 - 100+. We discuss our womanhood and the sacred role we have as women and mothers on this earth. We read from the scriptures and share personal experiences uplifting one another. It is a feeling of unity despite our differences in age, race, married, not married, mothers or woman without children. We leave feeling as one. I live my faith by showing kindness and love to others. I help individuals who are in need whenever I can. I sincerely strive to live each day as my Savior lived His days. Healing the sick, causing the blind to see and raising the dead. I do it figuratively through friendships with the lonely, sharing my testimony with those who do not have the truth and doing missionary work. I will never measure to the greatness of my Lord, but I know with His help, He will bridge the gaps of my deficiencies and make my attempts significant. I am nothing by myself, but I can do anything with Jesus Christ as my King.
